The Underground division of the Borger Group of Companies is the oldest division of the group tracing its roots all the way back to 1919 with its first sewer job for the City of Winnipeg, a job that involved only men and shovels; no equipment. Since that date, the Calgary based Borger Group still views its underground division as the family's crown jewel. Employing more than 235 people and more than 175 pieces of equipment in this division alone, Borger is widely recognized as the most reliable, most efficient and largest underground contractor in the Calgary Area. Borger has historically installed more than half of Calgary’s entire residential underground infrastructure and continues to annually install the majority today. From project inception until FAC Approval is received two years later, Borger aspires to be the "turn to contractor for all of its strategic alliances".
